Richard Powers
Richard Powers nasceu, em 1957, no Illinois. É autor de oito romances: Prisoner's Dilemma (1988), The Gold Bug Variations (1991), Operation Wandering Soul (1993), Galatea 2.2 (1995), Gain (1998), Plowing the Dark (2000), The Time of Our Singing (2003) e O Eco da Memória (2006).
Foi agraciado com vários prémios, incluindo a MacArthur Fellowship, o Lennan Literary Award e o James Fenimore Cooper Prize, atribuído a obras de ficção histórica. É, sem dúvida, um dos escritores americanos mais originais dos últimos tempos.
